About Your Counsellor

Elizabeth Cooper

(FdSc) (MBACP)

Integrative Counsellor

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a degree in Counselling Science. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). The theoretical approach, techniques and tools I use are from various schools and traditions which include psychodynamic, existential, humanistic and transpersonal. Therefore, I am equipped to best meet your needs.
I offer tailor-made therapy, as I recognise we are all unique and work at a different pace.

As a member of the BACP I adhere to their ethical principles and guidance. My approach is holistic, as I believe all parts of life interlink and are equally important, promoting a healthy balanced lifestyle in addition to a healthy mind.
My aim is to empower people through encouraging self-reflection techniques, healthier coping strategies, better communication and discovering a true sense of self.

My additional training includes the following:

  • Adolescent counselling
  • Child counselling
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Family and relationship counselling
  • Freedom programme
  • Higher Education in Healthcare
  • Loss of a child at any age
  • Specialised bereavement
  • Sudden and traumatic death
  • Trauma and resilience

I continue my professional development regularly to ensure I can offer up-to-date practices and techniques.
